Learning Center Goes Live

Video Production Learning Center My Video Production Learning Center website has finally gone live.  After working for a couple weeks to get the infrastructure in place, I have also finished creating the first mini course.  The site is located at KolboKorp.com .

The first mini course is Using Chroma Blur in Chroma Keys. It explains what chroma blur does, why it is used, and how to apply it.

The site will eventually offer a number of free mini courses, but the long term goal is the development of courses to prepare users for the Sony Vegas Pro certification exams.  That is a year away so enjoy the mini courses as they appear.

Excellent educational audio articles/booklets

I suggest the following location for some good explanations of audio principals and applications. They are written for everyday folks to understand. While they are publications by Shure, the principals are universal. I personally use a number of Shure products so that is not an issue for me. Shure mics and mixers tend to be rugged workhorse products.

New Video Sample

I just finished another of the videos that go with the courses I am building for the new video production learning center site.  The videos are out of context without the rest of the course information, but you can see where it is going.

Enjoy

Learning Site Progressing

My new learning site with courses and tutorials in digital video production is slowly being built.  While it is slow, I am pleased with the progress.  Here is just a sample of the material; a short video that appears in the Using Chroma Blur in Chroma Keys course.  Enjoy,

Crazy Talk Demo

When Crazy Talk (software) was offered at a significantly reduced price on the Digital Juice website, I gave it a try.  These are two quick promos for high school events that were done in just about 20 minutes work each.  Judge for yourself if this will do your job.

Old Site Problems

Due to an upgrade in the PHP software I am using for the new site, the old site will have some problems.  While the content is there, you will see odd errors thrown on the page.  Please forgive that.  It is all because I am trying to offer the best experience in the long term.

JW Player Test

This is a test of the video player that will be used on the site and the class site. The content is just an old demo reel. Nothing spectacular.

Where are the old articles?

The old A Media Prof siteYes the old articles are still with us.  Some will be migrated to the blog to make them easy to find, but until then, you can reach the old site by clicking here.  Or you can reach these popular articles by clicking on them directly.

Hello world!

Welcome.

I am changing the format of the site to better reflect the nature of it.  A blog of comments and educational items just seems to fit.  Actual training items will show up on another site using a Learning Management System to format it so that it is more effective.  Links to those courses/activities will debut here during July.

The old site will remain active for a year so that articles that search engines and individuals have linked to will still be available.
