This video demonstrates how the mirrored barn doors on the Dynaphos LH-213 daylight balanced fuorescent bank lighting fixture are used as a douser to control the light output of the fixture. This applies to all of the fuorescent light banks from Amvona.com . Getting the exact amount of light that you want out of the fixture is quick and easy. This is a part of the Bright Ideas series.

 The LH-213
A number of manufacturers have entered the market with
fluorescent lighting fixtures for video and photography. Some work well; some are just weak attempts
to incorporate compact fluorescents into existing fixtures. Really functional
fluorescent light banks have been available, but the cost has kept many folks
from putting fluorescents to work for them.
Amvona.com has introduced a line of fluorescent light banks under the
Dynaphos brand at value prices; from just under $200 to just over $300 on their
web site. I have gotten a hold of one of
them to review and I think you will like what I found.

The GO-HD pocket HD camcorder from Aiptek is an interesting and convenient little camera. Unfortunately, the video files that it outputs onto SD memory cards work well on Mac computers with iMovieHD but are difficult to handle on PC's. The output files are QuickTime files compressed with h.264 compression and AAC audio. While Sony's Vegas Pro 8 will read such files, the particular ones from this unit will actually crash the application.
The files must be quickly prepared before using them in Vegas Pro 8.
